WHAT IS VITAMIN D AND HOW DO I GET IT?

Vitamin D, also known as the “Sunshine Vitamin” is important to maintain strong and healthy bones, as well a good overall health. You can get Vitamin D from taking supplements certain foods also carry a small amount of the Vitamin. The best way to produce the most Vitamin D is through UVB light emitted from the sun and as well sun tan beds (low pressure units), your body can actually make its own Vitamin D as soon as your skin is exposed to UVB light. To learn more about how Vitamin D is formed in your body and the eye opening health benefits that come a long with it, please take the time to browse through the websites provided below! HAIR REMOVAL & PERMANENT HAIR REDUCTION

About IPL-DPC (pulse light) Treatment

What is IPL-DPC (pulse light)?
Hair Reduction procedure emits light beam through the hair, into the hair follicle. The light energy turns into heat energy coagulating the melanin in the follicle. As a result, the follicle cannot grow near new hair.
How does light-based technology work?
Light-based technology is based on a method called “selective photothermolysis”, which works by selective destruction of a specified target without damaging surrounding tissue.
Are IPL-DPC (pulse light) aesthetic treatments painful?
No. During the procedure, a slight, momentary stinging sensation may be felt, but no pain.
Are IPL-DPC (pulsed light) aesthetic treatments safe?
SharpLight’s pulsed-light treatments are noninvasive and safe, with minimum side effects.

About Hair Removal

What is the average rate of hair growth?
About 0.35mm a day, but this varies depending on body areas, age and gender.
How many treatments are required?
The typical regimen is 5-7 treatment sessions, spaced 4-12 weeks apart, depending on the body area.
Why are multiple treatments necessary?
About 20-25% of human hair follicles on the body are in the active growth phase at any given time. This is the percentage of hair follicles that can be destroyed in a single treatment session. In order to eliminate almost 70% of the hair, treatment has to be repeated until the desired result is achieved.

BODY CONTOURING & SCULPTING

About Body Countering Treatment

What does body contouring entail?
To achieve fat cells and cellulite reduction, Radio Frequency (RF) heats the fat cells, allowing the fatty acid and triglycerides to leave through the cell membrance to the lymphatic system, the blood and further body elimination.
How many treatments are required?
Around 8-12 sessions are recommended for best results, along with suggested periodic maintenance.
How long do treatments take?
Both body countering and skin tightening sessions take around 30-60 minutes, after which you can immediately return to your regular activities.
How long does it take until results are visible?
While immediate improvement is visible in most cases even after the very first treatment, dramatic results are apparent after 4 to 8 treatments.
What kind of result can I expect?
A typical body countering treatment can decrease body measurements by 3 to 6 centimeters (though results may vary from person to person).

About RF Treatment

What is IR?
Infrared Light (IR) uses different types of energy to heat the different skin layers and provides a controlled tightening tissue response.
Is it safe to rejuvenate skin at any age?
Age is not an issue when it comes to minimally invasive procedures, as they are safe and reliable.
How many treatments are required?
Although results are already apparent after the very first treatment, a minimum of 3 treatment sessions are recommended in order to reach visible clear results.

FACIAL SKIN TREATMENT

About Skin Tightening

What does body contouring entail?

About Skin Resurfacing/Micro-Peel

What is Erbium fractional (ER: YAG Fractional) Laser technology?
This laser technology emits two patterns of multi-dot beams (9*9 and 7*7), which peels off the superficial skin layer. The body’s natural heating process creates new tissue resulting in younger looking skin.
What is Intense IP-DPC (pulsed light)?
IPL-DPC (pulsed light) systems use hand held flash lamps that emit gentle pulses of light which are absorbed in the skin. The treatment stimulates the growth of collagen and gives the skin a fresh and youthful look.

VASCULAR & PIGMENTED LESIONS

About IPL-DPC (pulsed light) Treatment

What is Intense IP-DPC (pulsed light)?
IPL-DPC (pulsed light) systems use hand held flash lamps that emit gentle pulses of light which are absorbed in the skin. The treatment stimulates the growth of collagen and gives the skin a fresh and youthful look.
What is IP-DPC (pulsed light)?
IPL-DPC (pulsed light) systems use hand-held flash lamps that emit gentle pulses of light which are absorbed in different skin lesions. Excellent long terms are achieved when treating hair, superficial capillaries, skin pigmentation, acne and other skin lesions.
How does light-based technology work?
Light based technology is based on method called “selective photothermolysis”, which works by selective destruction of a specified target without damaging surrounding tissue.
Are pulsed-light aesthetic treatments painful?
No. During the procedure, a slight, momentary stinging sensation may be felt, but not pain.
Are pulsed-light aesthetic treatments safe?
All pulsed-light treatments are non-invasive and safe, with minimum side effects.

About Vascular and Pigmented Lesion Treatment

How does the treatment work on superficial blood vessels?
The applied IPL-DPC (pulsed light) is absorbed by the oxyhemoglobin in the blood within the vessel, causing the blood to coagulate and the vessel to break up into particles that are naturally filtered away through the lymphatic system of the body.
How does the treatment work on pigmented lesions?
Targeted areas absorb the applied light, breaking the pigmented lesion into tiny particles which then disappear or rise to the surface of the skin as scabs that are naturally exfoliated within 1-2 weeks.
How many treatments are required?
The typical regiment is an average of 6 treatment sessions, spaced 6 weeks apart.

ACNE TREATMENT

About IPL-DPC (pulsed light) Treatment

What is Intense IP-DPC (pulsed light)?
IPL-DPC (pulsed light) systems use hand held flash lamps that emit gentle pulses of light which are absorbed in different skin lesions. Excellent long term results are achieved tissue. For example, when treating hair, superficial capillaries, skin pigmentation, acne and other skin lesions.
How does light-based technology work?
Light based technology is based on method called “selective photothermolysis”, which works by selective destruction of a specified target without damaging surrounding tissue. When treating textural complaints such as fine wrinkles and large pores, the light stimulates the growth of collagen which makes the skin glow and look more youthful.

About Acne Treatment

Why is IPD-DPC (pulsed light) treatment preferable to tropical acne medication?
Topical acne medications often irritate the skin, and more than 40% of acne bacteria are insensitive to oral antibiotics. Furthermore, topical treatments may produce severe side effects, are costly, and usually require at least 3-4 months of therapy.
How many treatments are required?
The typical regiment is 8 short treatment sessions over a period of 1 month to reduce papules and pustules.
What are the advantages of SharpLight treatment of acne?
Treated patients experience minimal side effects, shorter disease duration and reduced psychological stress, as well as less likelihood for acne lesions to leave permanent scars.
